The vision to build a place for our Veterans in Douglas County moves forward thanks to the continued support of contributors, now including Miller United Real Estate, which presented Heroes Hall with a $20,000 check.

“We are grateful to the Miller United Real Estate group for choosing to support Heroes Hall with this generous donation,” said Mike McNairy, Lt Col USAF (Ret.), Heroes Hall Foundation Board Chair. “Miller United has a long tradition of investing in community partners to enhance robust neighborhoods and local charitable organizations. We are extremely pleased by their generosity in supporting the Veterans of Douglas County and their families.”

“I am incredibly grateful for this generous donation to the Heroes Hall Foundation,” said Commissioner George Teal. “This gift will help bring Heroes Hall to life as a lasting place where we can honor those who serve our country by giving them a place to gather. Support like this demonstrates our community’s deep appreciation for our heroes and moves us one important step closer to making this vision a reality.”

In a related statement, Miller United Principal Dan Sheldon shared, “Through its Community Investment Initiative, Miller United Real Estate provides financial support to deserving organizations in the communities where we live and work. We are pleased to announce our partnership with the Heroes Hall Foundation.

We selected the Heroes Hall Foundation as the recipient of a contribution because we strongly believe in the Foundation’s vision:

“Our vision is a future where veterans and their families are embraced as vital parts of their communities; where they feel honor, dignity, and respect.” ”

Heroes Hall, to be built at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock, will be a central location for Veterans to receive vital services, in addition to being able to meet and enjoy camaraderie with one another. It consolidates the support functions of the founding organizations, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Douglas County Veterans Monument Foundation and Douglas County Veterans Service Office, which can help Veterans receive additional assistance and support. Furthermore, it allows Veterans to pursue community engagement and advocate for Veteran causes.

Heroes Hall is estimated to cost $15 million to build. If you wish to donate or help spread the word, please visit the Heroes Hall webpage to learn more.
